Major Stock Water Scheme
Aquawest was awarded the contract to design and construct a major stock water infrastructure upgrade for Buttabone Livestock in Warren, NSW, covering three separate water projects across the property.
Designed to meet a total daily water demand of 500,000 litres, the system delivers a high-capacity, future-proof solution to support the station’s cattle and sheep operations.
- Key components of the project included:
- Installation of 4 new Grundfos solar pump systems, each delivering 50,000 litres per day
- Integration of 3 existing solar pumps into the upgraded system
- Construction of 3 electric pump stations, including bore and surface booster systems
- 120 kilometres of PE pipeline, comprising 75mm, 63mm, and 50mm polythene pipe
- Connection to 20 existing tanks and installation of 30 new water storage tanks
- Connection to 40 existing troughs and installation of 40 new livestock troughs
- Installation of 3 dust suppression sprinkler systems at sheep and cattle yards
This large-scale installation highlights Aquawest’s capability in delivering turnkey water infrastructure projects for the agricultural sector — combining solar pumping, pipeline design, and livestock water distribution systems to ensure long-term water security and efficiency.
