Aquawest successfully completed the design and construction of seven self cleaning pump screens for Water NSW’s Chaffey to Dungowan Pipeline Biodiversity Offset Screening Project in 2025. Working alongside Kleen Screen Australia and New Zealand, Aquawest developed an innovative lifting system that simplifies maintenance, improves pump efficiency and helps prevent debris blockages. The screens provide critical protection for threatened native fish species, including Murray Cod and Silver Perch, while supporting reliable water supply and irrigation operations. The project showcases Aquawest’s commitment to innovative engineering solutions that deliver both environmental and practical benefits.
