Cobrabald, Angus Stud Stock Water for David Hicks
After almost having to start from scratch after the last drought, farm owner David, and Manager Andy contacted Aquawest for help to shore up their water supply. Their current system relied on gravity feeding water, syphoned out of the largest dam on the property to troughs down the line, and with dam levels starting to recede, adding a more efficient water source, the Cobrabald river that didnt run dry in the last drought, via a Grundfos SQF solar pump with 8 solar panels was the solution. Filling a Rhino 200,000L water tank and pumping with pressure to the troughs has cleared mud and muck from pipe lines and even added the ability to pump excess water into their main dam. They now have the ability to get water into more paddocks and open up more of the property to stock when smaller dams are dry. Giving them more security around the stock levels into the future. They are both very happy with the outcome of the project and may look to add another pump and tank higher up in the property in the future.
